Pat is a long time computer user/programmer. His first MythTV install was on an 800 mhz computer running Fedora. Currently he's running LinHES on his Myth box.

I am an application developer by day, focusing mostly on JEE Web-based applications. However, I tend to dabble in other programming languages.

I became a fan of MythTV around 2003 when I saw a demonstration of KnoppMyth. Since then I have looked at MythTV on Fedora, Gentoo, some incarnations of KnoppMyth and, most recently, Mythbuntu.

I am currently running Mythbuntu 8.10 on an AMD 64 X2 5400+ with 4 GB of RAM and a 500 GB hard drive. The box is a combined master backend and frontend. It has 3 tuners: a pcHDTV 5500 (for unencrypted HD QAM channels), Firewire (for recording from a Motorola DCT-6200 cable box), and a Hauppauge PVR 150 (for recording SD).

Recording Schedules

Recordings are scheduled to take place every other week and episodes will be release that Tuesday.
